CraftMargin Guard Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Aetheris Sun LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, handles information for the CraftMargin Guard browser extension.

CraftMargin Guard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by Etsy.

Who is responsible

Aetheris Sun LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, is the controller for personal information that we process for the website, checkout, licensing, and support. Contact: contact@aetherissun.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer because our current processing does not require one under Article 37 GDPR. If Article 27 GDPR requires an EU representative for our activities, we will appoint and publish its details before relying on that processing.

Data the extension reads

When you actively open the extension on an Etsy page, CraftMargin Guard may read visible seller workflow fields such as listing title, description, tags, price, visible listing rows, visible order summaries, visible message text, and timestamps needed for seller-facing checks. It does not read pages in the background or collect browsing history outside the supported Etsy page context.

Data stored locally

The extension stores settings, COGS presets, templates, usage counters, local subscription cache, referral code, audit history, and backup snapshots in chrome.storage.local.

Purposes and legal bases

We process data to provide the requested seller-review features (performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), process purchases and licenses and meet accounting obligations (contract and legal obligation, Articles 6(1)(b) and (c)), protect the service and prevent abuse (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f)), and answer support requests (contract or legitimate interests). We will ask for consent where consent is legally required, and you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing.

Data shared externally

By default, seller workflow data stays local. Aetheris Sun LLC does not receive seller workflow data unless you choose a feature that sends data outside your browser. If the optional AI drafting feature is enabled, selected text you submit may be sent to OpenAI or another provider identified at the time of submission; the extension will request any consent required before that transfer. If you open checkout or support, your browser requests those pages directly. Payment details are handled by the payment provider, not by the extension.

What we do not do

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not collect browsing history outside Etsy pages covered by the extension.
• We do not scrape competitor shops, listings, or profiles.
• We do not automatically send buyer messages.
• We do not automatically post, edit, ship, renew, favorite, follow, or review on Etsy.
• We do not inject affiliate links or cookies.

Retention and user controls

Extension settings and workflow records remain in browser storage until you delete them, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension. We retain purchase, license, support, and security records only as long as needed for the stated purposes and legal obligations. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and withdraw consent by contacting us. We will verify requests and respond within the GDPR time limits.

International transfers

Aetheris Sun LLC is in the United States. When personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we use an adequacy decision where available or an appropriate safeguard such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary measures where required. You may request information about the relevant safeguard and a copy of the applicable clauses, subject to lawful redactions.

Cookies and tracking

The extension does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, or automatic uploads. The website may use strictly necessary browser storage for language or checkout functionality. We do not use non-essential tracking on this policy page.

Chrome Limited Use statement

Aetheris Sun LLC's use of information received from Chrome extension permissions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Complaints and automated decisions

You may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the EU/EEA country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
